Best Friends

I once had a best friend, a friend that I adored.
He was so very special, right from the start.
He never turned his back on me, even in the dark.
He talked to me for hours, even when he was bored
I once had a friend, a friend that I did trust.
I could tell him anything knowing that it would be, never uttered or mentioned it was as safe as can be..
He lifted me up when I was down.
He’d text me when I had a frown and then id turn it upside down.
I once had a friend that was always there never to busy or didn’t care.
He saved me from the hell that was my life.
He made me see what life could be, if I was happy and free.
